Capital Projects

CApitial PROJECTS

What is a capital project?

A capital project is a multi-year strategic fundraising initiative that raises funds for a specific purpose. Capital projects typically have goals that exceed that of an annual fund and seek restricted funding for a specific project or series of related projects. Capital projects often fund building projects.

For 2023 TWS needs new classroom windows
Fundraising goal: $200,000

TWS would like to replace its Classroom Windows for all Grades (1 to 12). Replacing the current windows with Top quality, modern and energy efficient windows.

Energy efficient windows in the classroom will help conserve energy and provide warmth in the Winter months for all students. The existing windows in the classroom have not been replaced in over 25 years at TWS.

RECENT CAPiTAL PROJECTS
Greenhouse

With a 2 Silent auctions and a Golf Tournament we were able to raise the funds necessary to build an outdoor greenhouse.

Farming and gardening are one of the most nourishing aspects of a Waldorf education. Working with the soil and learning the art of growing and harvesting food and the science behind regenerative farming practices are all skills that are essential to our children’s futures.

In order to further this wonderful learning experience, we are building a greenhouse in the back of the school grounds.

Together, we will plant the seeds that will blossom into our new and stunning greenhouse and our children will harvest the benefits for a lifetime.
