About TWSF

Supporting Waldorf education for today and tomorrow

The Toronto Waldorf School Foundation supports the long-term sustainability of Waldorf education through fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement.

Working alongside the Toronto Waldorf School, the Foundation helps expand access, strengthen programs, and build a stable future for generations of students.

What We Do

Supporting Access
We help make Waldorf education more accessible through tuition assistance and scholarships, ensuring that more families can participate in the life of the school.

Strengthening Programs
Community giving supports key areas of school life, including music, student supports, and special initiatives that enrich the educational experience.

Building for the Future
Through the General Fund, we steward long-term financial resources that provide annual support to the school and contribute to its ongoing stability.

Why It Matters

Waldorf education offers a distinctive approach to learning that nurtures the whole child—head, heart, and hands. Sustaining this model requires both community commitment and long-term financial care.

The Foundation exists to support this work: to ensure access, uphold program quality, and help the school thrive into the future.

How Giving Works

The Foundation supports a range of giving pathways, from annual community participation to more personal, long-term commitments.

The Luminous Campaign is the Foundation’s annual initiative, inviting broad community participation and offering donors the ability to direct their gifts toward key areas of impact.

Many donors also choose to connect directly with the Foundation to explore giving in a more personal way, including major gifts, legacy giving, and other forms of support.

Ways to Give

In addition to gifts made through the Luminous Campaign, donors may choose to give in a variety of ways, including:

  • Donations of publicly traded securities
  • Workplace giving and matching programs
  • Corporate giving and sponsorship
  • Giving platforms such as Benevity
  • Legacy and planned gifts

We are happy to work with donors to explore the approach that best aligns with their intentions.
