Our Mission
At the Toronto Waldorf School Foundation, we are dedicated to advancing the mission and vision of Waldorf education. Our foundation serves the Toronto Waldorf School as a vital pillar of support, raising funds and fostering community engagement to enhance academic initiatives, maintain and improve physical facilities, and provide tuition assistance.
By channeling donations and resources through our foundation, we uphold a commitment to financial stewardship, risk management, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that our school thrives and continues to inspire generations of students with the transformative power of Waldorf education.
How We Operate
At the heart of our Foundation’s mission is a commitment to sustaining and enhancing the Toronto Waldorf School community. Governed by a volunteer board and supported by one dedicated staff member, we manage a general fund. This fund is carefully invested, with a portion of its earnings allocated annually to the school, primarily supporting accessible tuition.
We actively engage in fundraising efforts to fortify the general fund, ensuring ongoing support for the school’s evolving needs. Through the general fund, we establish perpetual scholarships and prepare for capital campaigns, ensuring a lasting impact on the school’s future.
One example of our fundraising efforts to fortify the general fund is our annual campaign fundraiser. Donations directly increase the earnings allocated annually to the school.
