With an initial contribution of $30,000, the scholarship aims to alleviate the financial burden of annual tuition, starting from Grade 8 through graduation.
The Vijan Family Scholarship
The Vijan Family Scholarship is established to alleviate the financial burden of annual tuition for students entering grade 8 or higher, with a commitment to continue their education through high school.
About the Donors:
Shubnum Vijan, a dedicated Biology and Chemistry teacher at TWS, along with her family, are the visionary contributors behind the Vijan Family Scholarship. Both of their sons are proud TWS alumni. Shubnum initiated this scholarship in honour of her nephew, who courageously fought a tremendous health battle. During this challenging time, the students at TWS displayed exceptional care and support for Shubnum, inspiring her to establish the scholarship as a heartfelt way to give back.
Scholarship Renewal:
The scholarship is renewable each year throughout the student’s enrolment at TWS High School. The Scholarship Committee conducts an annual February review to ensure ongoing eligibility and support.
Application Process:
Candidates interested in the Vijan Family Scholarship must complete both an Apple Financial Bursary Application and an Enrolment Application to be considered for eligibility. Detailed information regarding the application process is outlined below.
